This policy explains what we collect when you visit thecluttercollectors.com or hire us for an estate cleanout, buyout, or liquidation, what we do with it, and how to reach us about it. We have kept it short and in plain English.

Who we are

The Clutter Collectors is an estate cleanout, buyout, and liquidation company serving Bristol and Plymouth Counties in Massachusetts and Providence, Bristol, and Newport Counties in Rhode Island. You can reach us at thecluttercollectorsne@gmail.com or (508) 851-4850.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in our contact form, email us, or call, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the service address or general location, and whatever you choose to tell us about the property and the job.

Job records. Once we are working together we keep the ordinary records of the job: photos and video of the rooms and goods, our own notes, quotes, invoices, and signed agreements. Because our agreements are signed electronically, the certificate attached to a signed agreement also records each signer’s email address, when they viewed and signed it, and the IP address and browser details captured at signing.

Payment information. For cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle we record only the amount, the date, and the method. If you pay by card through this website, your card details go directly to our payment processor, Stripe — we never receive or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records standard web log data: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and the page that referred you. This reaches us through Google Analytics and through Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your question, schedule and carry out a walkthrough, prepare a quote and an agreement, do the work, send invoices and take payment, keep the business and tax records we are required to keep, and understand which parts of the site are useful.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising. We will not use photos of your home or belongings in our marketing without asking you first.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that help us run the business, and only as much as each one needs:

• Cloudflare — website hosting, security, private file storage, and the anti-spam check on our contact form.
• Google Analytics — anonymous traffic statistics for the website.
• Resend — delivery of the emails we send you, such as quotes, agreements, and invoices.
• Stripe — card payments, if and when you choose to pay by card.

We will also share information with anyone you ask us to — an attorney, executor, realtor, or family member handling the estate — and where the law requires it. Nobody else.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics sets cookies so we can count visits and see which pages people read. Cloudflare’s Turnstile check sets a short-lived token on the contact form so we can tell real people from bots. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.

How long we keep it

If you contact us and we never end up working together, we keep your enquiry while there is a realistic chance of a job, then delete it. If we do work together, we keep the job records — agreement, invoices, payment records, and job photos — for at least seven years, because tax and liability rules require it. If you would like the photos of your property deleted sooner, ask us and we will remove anything we are not required to keep.

Your choices

Email us at thecluttercollectorsne@gmail.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete what we are not required to keep. Massachusetts and Rhode Island residents have additional rights under state law, including the right to be notified of a breach of personal information; we will honor those requests the same way. Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop calling or texting at any time.

How we protect it

The website runs over HTTPS. Our internal system sits behind a login limited to the two of us, job photos and documents are held in private storage that is not publicly browsable, and card data never touches our systems. No system is perfect, but we take the security of an estate’s records seriously.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging estate services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes to how we use information already collected will be described here in plain language.
